Shree Jee Ice Cream

You can find Shree Jee Ice Cream located in Shivaji Nagar within the G I D C Makarpura area, right along the Bombay Pune Road. This is an industrial zone, so it’s not your typical spot for an ice cream place, but we’ve made it work for a long time. We have our small production unit and a front counter where we sell to the public. The noise from the highway is something we’ve just gotten used to over the years. We make our own ice cream right here in the back. There are big metal cans and cooling pipes everywhere. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations or neon signs. It’s just a plain shop with a few freezers. The workers from the nearby factories often stop by during their breaks to get something cold. We also get travelers who are driving between Bombay and Pune and need a rest. We keep a few chairs outside, but they're mostly for people to sit while they wait. My family has been running this for a while now. We don't try to compete with the big brands you see on TV. We just make what we like and hope the people who stop by like it too. It’s a humble setup, but it keeps us busy from morning until late at night every day.
