We are located at Sr No 81/5 inside the Dangat Industrial Estate in Shivane. It’s an industrial area, so it’s pretty loud with all the machines and trucks moving around all day. Our workshop has been here for a while and the floor is stained with oil and metal shavings no matter how much we sweep it. We have the lathes and the welding gear set up towards the back where the ventilation is a bit better. In the summer, it gets incredibly hot under the tin roof, so we usually have a big pedestal fan running at full speed. We do a lot of small repair jobs and custom parts for people who come in from the nearby units. There’s always a pile of scrap metal in the corner that we need to clear out one of these days. My hands usually have grease under the fingernails that won’t come off, but that’s just how it is working here. We have a small cabin for the computer and the billing stuff, but most of the time is spent out on the floor. Shivane is a bit out of the way, but it’s where all the work happens. We know the guys at the tea stall around the corner quite well since we go there at least twice a day. It’s a tough environment but we have a good rhythm going with the machines.
