If you know the area around Marunji J S S Road in Chira Bazar, you know how tight the streets can be. That is where we operate from, specifically at number 187. It is right in the middle of Kalbadevi, which is one of the most crowded parts of the city. Teaching someone to drive a car here is quite an experience because of all the handcarts and people walking everywhere. We spend our days sitting in the passenger seat, keeping a close eye on the learner’s feet. Our cars are out on the road from early morning until the sun goes down. It is a lot of shifting gears and explaining how the clutch works. The office itself is just a small place where we handle the paperwork and the license forms. It’s often loud outside with the horns and the general noise of the market. We don't have any fancy simulators, just real cars and real traffic. People come to us because they want to learn how to manage in this specific kind of chaos. We take things slow and try to stay patient, even when the traffic is at a standstill. Every student is different, so we just adapt to how they handle the steering wheel. It’s a simple business but it keeps us on our toes every single day in this busy neighborhood. We just hope that every person who learns here feels a bit more confident in the city traffic.
