Sharma Ice Cream Parlour

We are located in the Khadki G I D C Estate at number 8. Since it’s an industrial area, most of our customers are workers from the factories nearby. They come in during their breaks to get something cold and sweet. It’s a bit dusty around here with all the trucks moving in and out of the estate. Our shop, Sharma Ice Cream Parlour, is a simple building with a metal roof. When it rains, it gets very loud inside. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls. It’s mostly just the freezers and a small counter where I sit. I’ve known some of these workers for years. They tell me about their families and their jobs while they eat their ice cream. I try to keep the prices low because I know everyone is working hard for their money. Sometimes the delivery truck comes late and I have to wait around for the stock. I usually keep a newspaper handy for those quiet times. The heat in the afternoon can be really tough, but the ice cream helps a little. We don't do any big advertising or anything. People just find us because we are in a convenient spot for them. It’s a straightforward business and we just keep it moving one day at a time. It isn't much to look at from the outside but it works for us and our regulars who come by daily.
