Sharma Ice Cream Centre

We have been around Pimpri for quite a while now. Sharma Ice Cream Centre started out small, just a little spot where people could get something cold on a hot afternoon. It’s mostly been a family thing. My uncle used to run the counter, and now I’m here most days. It gets really busy in the evenings when families come by after dinner. We don’t have fancy seating or anything, just some basic wooden benches. People usually just stand around or sit on their scooters while they eat their cones. The traffic outside can be a bit much sometimes, but that’s just how it is here. We try to keep things simple. The freezer makes a constant humming noise that we’ve gotten used to over the years. Some days the stock runs low if there’s a big rush, especially on Sundays. We don’t really do fancy flavors with gold leaf or anything like that. It’s just regular ice cream that tastes like it should. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to move everything to the back generator quickly, which is always a bit of a mess. My cousin helps out with the cleaning in the mornings. We know most of the people who live nearby by name. It’s a nice way to spend the day, even if it’s tiring. We just keep the doors open and wait for the regulars to show up. It isn't a big operation, just us.
