Shahnai Motor Driving School

Shahnai Motor Driving School is over at Shop No. 12. We are located right near the Chinchwad RTO office in Pune, Maharashtra 411019. Being so close to the RTO makes things a bit easier for the students when it’s finally time for them to take their actual driving tests. The shop itself is pretty basic and doesn't have much in it. We have a few plastic chairs for people to wait and some old charts on the wall showing different road signs and traffic rules. It’s usually a bit noisy outside because of all the heavy vehicles and motorcycles coming and going from the government office all day long. I spend a lot of my time walking back and forth between the shop and the training cars parked nearby. We don't have any glossy brochures or fancy slogans to show off here. People just come to us because we’ve been here in Chinchwad for a long time. We spend the day teaching people the difference between the brake and the accelerator, which sounds simple enough but can be quite tricky when someone is nervous. The traffic around here is actually a good teacher because you have to be alert every single second. Sometimes the paperwork for the driving licenses takes a while to process, so we just sit and chat with the students while we wait for the officers. It’s a very human way of doing business. We don't use much technology, just our cars and a lot of patience.
