Shahidha Motor Driving School

Shahidha Motor Driving School is situated in the Yamuna Nagar area of Nigdi in Pune. Our address is 411044. It’s a pretty local operation. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything like that. We mostly operate out of our vehicles and a small desk where we handle the paperwork for the licenses and schedules. Yamuna Nagar is a decent place for learning because the roads are a bit wider than in some other parts of Pune. I’ve spent countless hours sitting next to people who are terrified of shifting into third gear or merging into traffic. You get used to the sound of engines stalling and the smell of the clutch when someone isn't quite getting the rhythm right. We don't put much effort into advertising or marketing campaigns. Most people just see our cars driving around with the 'L' plate on top and give us a call on the phone. It’s a very practical and hands-on job. We show up, we meet the student, and we spend the hour going over the basics of the road. Sometimes the weather in Pune gets really hot in the afternoon, and the cars can feel like ovens, but we just roll the windows down and keep going with the lesson. We don't have any big speeches about our values or missions. We just want people to be able to drive their own cars without getting into trouble. It’s a steady way to spend the day, even if it does involve a lot of repetitive talking about the mirrors.
