Saraswati Institute Of Hotel Management & Catering Technology is right here in Sainathnagar at 19th Main 16th Cross. We’ve been at 52/2 for a good number of years now. It’s not a huge fancy campus or anything, just a practical place where students come to learn the ropes of the hospitality world. The kitchens get pretty noisy during the day when everyone is trying to finish their practicals at the same time. You’ll hear a lot of chopping and the clatter of pans. It’s a lot of work to keep the place running. We have classrooms for the theory parts, but most of the time people are on their feet. Sometimes the equipment acts up or someone spills a gallon of milk, but that’s just part of the learning process. The staff here have mostly worked in real hotels, so they don't sugarcoat how hard the job is. It’s a lot of standing and cleaning up after yourself. The hallways get a bit tight when the morning and afternoon batches switch over. We focus on the basics like how to cook properly and how to handle service without getting flustered. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't have a big marketing team, just a few of us making sure the students have what they need to learn. It’s a busy environment and there is always something that needs fixing or cleaning in the kitchen area.
