Sarang Pan Houses

Ashoka Centre 83/1 is where you will find us. Sarang Pan Houses has been in this spot for quite some time now. It is a small place, really just a counter and some shelves, but it keeps us busy from morning until late. We spend most of our day getting the leaves ready and making sure the mixtures are right. Nothing is pre-packaged here, so if there is a line, you might have to wait a minute or two while we work. The fan in the corner makes a lot of noise, but it keeps the air moving when it gets hot outside. People from the offices nearby come down in the afternoons. Some just want a quick chat while they wait. We get our supplies from the same people we have used for years. It is a simple way to run a business. The floor gets dusty because of the street outside, so we are always sweeping. Sometimes we run out of specific ingredients by the evening, but that is just how it is. We do not have a fancy sign or anything, just the name on the front. It is mostly local people who stop by. We know what most of them are going to ask for before they even say it. It makes the day go by faster when you know the faces. We just try to keep things steady and keep the shop open every day for the community.
