Sarah Academy Of Music

Our academy is right here in Vadgoensheri, specifically at Zaveri Bazar. It’s a spot where we spend most of our days teaching various instruments and singing. The building isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but inside we’ve made it work for our lessons. We have a few small rooms where the students sit. Sometimes you can hear a guitar from one room and a keyboard from another at the same time. It’s a bit of a mix of sounds, but we like it that way. Zaveri Bazar is always busy, so there is plenty of noise from the street coming in through the windows. We’ve been at this location for a while and most people in the neighborhood know where we are. We don't spend money on big signs or flyers. Usually, someone just walks in because they heard the music while passing by. The stairs are a bit steep, so you have to be careful when carrying heavy instrument cases up to the second floor. We keep a few extra stools and music stands around for when the bigger groups come in. It’s a very simple setup with no frills. We just focus on getting the notes right and making sure everyone has a chance to play.
