We are Sanjeevani Developers, and you can find us in Bhosari, Pune, right near the P.C.M.C. School at B.N. Phuge Chawl. It’s a local neighborhood, and we like it that way. We build small-scale housing and do some property work around the area. It’s not about building skyscrapers for us. We focus on things that people in Bhosari actually need. Working out of a chawl area keeps us close to the ground. We know the people here and we know what the land is like. Construction around Pune has become very expensive and complicated lately, but we try to keep things simple. Dealing with all the paperwork for the municipal corporation can be a real pain, but it’s part of the job. We spend a lot of time walking around building sites, making sure the bricks are laid straight and the plumbing isn't going to leak. It’s a lot of physical work and constant talking to different workers. We don't have a big website or a team of sales people. Usually, someone just hears about us from a neighbor and comes by the office to talk. We’re just regular people trying to make a living by building decent places for other regular people. It’s a busy life, and there’s always something that needs fixing or a permit that needs renewing. That’s just the way it goes here. We don't make it sound fancier than it is; we just build houses.
