Sangam Metal & Engineering

We are located at 5, Tungai Apartments, over in Shivajinagar. It’s a bit of an older building, number 781/4, but it’s home for Sangam Metal & Engineering. Having an engineering business in an apartment block might seem a bit strange to some people, but it’s actually quite common around here. We use the space mostly for the design work and the administrative side of things. There are blueprints and metal samples scattered all over the dining table, which we use as a main desk. It gets a bit crowded when more than three of us are in there at once. Shivajinagar is a busy part of Pune, so there is always noise from the street coming through the windows. We deal with a lot of local workshops for the actual fabrication. Most of our day is spent calling vendors or checking on the status of a project. It’s a lot of back and forth. We don't have any fancy brochures or a marketing department. If you want to find us, you just come to the apartment and ring the bell. We usually have the kettle going for tea. The business has been running like this for years, and we don't see much reason to change it. It’s simple, it’s local, and it gets the engineering work done. We just focus on the drawings and making sure the measurements are right before anything goes to the foundry. We like it that way.
