Laxmi Engineering Platers

Laxmi Engineering Platers is at Shop No 7 in Santosh Nagar, Katraj. We are part of the Maharashtra Housing Board area, right near the Swami Samarth Math. It’s a pretty well-known landmark, so people usually don’t have much trouble finding us once they get into the neighborhood. We do metal plating here, which means we put protective coatings on different engineering parts to keep them from rusting or wearing down too fast. The shop has several tanks for the different chemicals and processes we use every day. It’s a very specific kind of work that requires a lot of attention to detail and timing. If you leave a part in the tank for too long or not long enough, the finish won't be right and we have to start over. We’ve been in Katraj for quite a while and have built up a steady routine. The neighborhood is a mix of houses and small shops like ours. We like being near the Math because it keeps the area feeling grounded and peaceful. Our shop isn't large, just the one unit, number 7, but we make the most of the space we have. You’ll often see us moving racks of parts in and out. It’s hard work and it can get a bit messy with the liquids we use, but it’s what we know how to do.
