Sangam Hotel

You can find Sangam Hotel over on Ashram Road in Guruwar Peth. This part of town is very old and the streets are quite narrow. We are in an old building that has been here for a long time. The walls are thick and the ceilings are high, which helps when it gets hot outside. We serve traditional food that people in Guruwar Peth have been eating for years. I took over the place from my father. Not much has changed since then. We still use the same heavy pots and the same recipes. The traffic on Ashram Road is always a bit of a mess, with rickshaws and bikes constantly going past. We have a small sink in the back for people to wash their hands. The lights are a bit dim inside, but it gives the place a calm feeling away from the street noise. We get a lot of people who have been coming here since they were kids. Now they bring their own children. It’s nice to see the families grow up. We don't have air conditioning, just a few big fans that move the air around. We try to keep the prices fair so everyone can afford a meal. It’s a busy life but Guruwar Peth is my home. I spend most of my day sitting near the entrance greeting everyone who walks through the door.
