You can find Samarth Engineering over on University Road in Shivaji Nagar. We are at No. 72/2, right near the Hold Relax Hotel. It’s a good location because the university is close by, so we get a lot of students and faculty walking past. Our workshop is filled with lathes, drills, and all sorts of bits and pieces. We do a lot of custom engineering work, mostly small parts and repairs. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and oil. It’s not the cleanest place, but that’s how an engineering shop should be. We have a few old machines that we still use every day because they are reliable. I spend most of my time hunched over a workbench with my glasses on. The hotel nearby brings in some different people, and sometimes they pop their heads in to see what we are making. It’s a bit noisy when the drills are going, but nobody seems to mind much. We don’t have a big marketing plan. Most of our work comes from people who know us or who were told about us by a friend. It’s a steady pace of work. We don’t rush things because that’s how mistakes happen. Shivaji Nagar is a lively place to be, and we’ve been here long enough to feel like part of the furniture. We just keep things moving and fix what needs fixing when the customers bring it in. It's usually just small stuff but it adds up.
