Samarth Dairy

Down in Pimple Saudagar, in the Indrayani Nagar area, you’ll find Samarth Dairy. We start our days very early, usually while most people are still sleeping, to get the fresh milk in. By the time the sun is up, we’ve already got the crates stacked and ready. We sell milk, curd, paneer, and sometimes some sweets if it’s a festival time. The shop is small and tiled so we can wash it down easily. It always smells like fresh milk and sometimes the ghee we are melting. We have a couple of big refrigerators that take up most of the space. In the mornings, there’s usually a line of people with their own steel containers or just grabbing packets. It’s a fast-paced hour or two, then things quiet down until the evening. We know most of the families around here and their daily orders. Sometimes the buffalo milk is a bit thicker or thinner depending on the day, but that’s just how it is with fresh supply. We don’t use any fancy packaging, just the standard stuff. My son helps with the deliveries around the neighborhood on his bike. We’ve had some trouble with the fridge leaking lately, so there’s often a mop standing in the corner. It’s a simple, honest business. We just focus on getting fresh dairy to the people in Indrayani Nagar every single day.
