Samarth Dairy

Samarth Dairy is situated in Sangavi GIDC, right across from the Yash Sankul building in Pimple Saudagar. It is an easy place to find because you can usually see the milk vans parked outside early in the morning. Our day starts long before the sun is up. The sound of metal cans banging against each other is the first thing you hear when you arrive. We have these large cooling tanks that hum all day and night to keep everything fresh. The floor is made of white tiles that we are constantly hosing down with water to keep the place clean. It always smells like fresh milk and a bit of cleaning soap around here. People from the neighborhood come by with their own containers, and we fill them up right there. There is no fancy branding or colorful packaging at our counter. We just focus on getting the milk processed and out to the people who need it. The area around Yash Sankul has grown a lot lately, so there are always new faces coming in to ask about what we have. Besides milk, we keep some curd and butter on the side shelves. The office is just a small wooden table with a ledger where we write down the daily totals. It’s a very routine kind of job, but people depend on us being open every single day, so we don't really take many breaks. We just keep the fridge running and the milk moving.
