Being located on Sinhagad Road puts us right in the middle of things. Kormangla Industrial Area is always buzzing with activity, and you can hear the hum of machinery from the neighboring units all day long. Our place at 64/5 is a functional space. It is mostly concrete and steel, which is what you expect in an industrial zone. The air always has that faint smell of oil and metal. We have been here for a while, and the routine hasn't changed much. The gate gets rolled up early, and the light comes through the high windows. It is not the most comfortable place during the summer, but we have a few fans going to keep the air moving. Lunch is usually a quick affair brought from home, eaten while sitting on whatever is handy. We know the guys in the units next door, and we occasionally borrow a tool or help each other out. That is just how it is in this part of town. Salvo Engineers isn't a place with marble floors or air conditioning in every room. It is a workspace meant for real tasks. The address is easy enough for delivery trucks to find, even if the traffic on Sinhagad Road gets a bit backed up in the evenings. We just keep our heads down and stay busy. It is a solid place to be for the kind of things we do here every day.
