Sachin General Store

Sachin General Store sits right near the Ganesh Temple on Station Road in Shivaji Nagar. Being so close to the ST Stand means we see a lot of travelers coming and going all day long. Pune is always moving, and this corner of Shivaji Nagar is no different. We get people rushing for their buses who just need a bottle of water or some biscuits for the journey. Then there are the locals who come by after visiting the temple. The morning starts early for us because the tea stalls nearby open up and people start heading to the station. We’ve got the usual things you’d expect in a small general store. It’s a tight space and boxes are often stacked up in the corners because there isn't much storage. The noise from the buses and the temple bells is just part of the background now. We don't really do anything fancy here. It is just about keeping the shelves filled with whatever people ask for most. Sometimes the monsoon rains make things a bit messy near the entrance, but we manage. My family helps out during the busy hours in the evening when the office crowd returns. We see a lot of city life passing by our door every hour. We don’t have a big sign or anything, just the name and our stock. It’s just a regular shop serving the people who pass through Station Road every day.
