S L Carvers

S L Carvers is tucked away in Suyash Apartment, specifically at Shop No. 13. We are located in Sadashiv Peth, which is a very old and busy part of the city. Being near the Perugate Police Station makes it easy to give people directions when they are lost. The shop is small and always smells like wood and polish. There are wood shavings on the floor most of the time because we are constantly working on something. It’s a messy process, and my clothes are usually covered in dust by the end of the shift. We have all sorts of tools hanging on the walls, some of them quite old and worn down. We don't have a website or anything fancy; people just walk in or call us. Sometimes a project takes longer than we thought it would, and we have to call the customer to explain. Most people understand because they know we are just a small team of two. The light in Sadashiv Peth is beautiful in the late afternoon, even if our shop is a bit dark inside. We’ve been doing this carving work for years, mostly by hand. It’s hard on the fingers and the back, but it’s the only trade we really know. We don't make a big deal out of it; we just take the orders as they come and try to finish them before the weekend.
