Bucket Biryani Terminal

We are over here at Rahatni Chowk, right across from that big LIC building. If you are looking for us, we are in the Mahalaxmi Heights building. It’s not a fancy place, just where we do our cooking and serve out the biryani in those big buckets. We started this because we saw people wanted more food for their money and buckets seemed like a good way to carry it home. The kitchen gets really hot in the afternoons, especially when we have all the pots going at once. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few of us who know the recipe and how to keep the rice from sticking. Most of our customers are folks living nearby in Pilplie Saudagar who don't want to cook dinner after a long day at work. We try to keep things simple. There isn't any fancy decor on the walls or anything like that. Just some tables and the counter where you pay. Sometimes we run out of chicken early on Sundays because it gets so busy. We don't really do much advertising, just the sign out front and word of mouth from people who’ve eaten here before. It's a bit noisy with the traffic from the chowk coming inside, but you get used to it after a while. We just focus on getting the food ready on time. It is a lot of work every day but we like seeing the regulars come back.
