It's just a small studio here in Pimpri where we teach dance. Rohit started this because he liked moving to the music and figured others in the neighborhood might want to learn too. We aren't some big fancy school with glass walls and uniforms. It's just a room with some mirrors and a good sound system. Mostly, kids from the nearby streets come by after school. We do some Bollywood steps, maybe some folk dance if people ask for it. Sometimes the floor gets a bit dusty, but we sweep it every morning. Parents sit on the plastic chairs outside and wait. It gets loud when the music is on, but the neighbors don't mind much. We aren't trying to make everyone a movie star. If someone learns a few steps for a wedding or just to have fun, that’s enough for us. Classes happen in the evenings mostly. We have a few different batches depending on who shows up. It’s a bit informal. If you miss a day, you just catch up the next time. We’ve had some students stay with us for years. They grow up and then their younger siblings start coming. It’s a nice way to spend the evening. Pimpri is a busy place, but once the music starts, it feels like a different world for an hour. People just come here to enjoy themselves and move around. Everyone is welcome here.
