You can find us at Rainbow Hotel & Bar right on Fergusson College Road. The exact spot is Apurba Layout 1184/A, which is a very busy part of town. Since we are on FC Road, there is never a quiet moment. We spend the first part of the day just cleaning up from the night before. The floors are made of dark stone, and they take a lot of mopping to look decent. We have these old wooden tables and chairs that have been around for years; they are sturdy but definitely show some scratches. The bar area is at the back, and I spend a lot of time checking the fridge temperatures and making sure the glasses are polished. It is a bit dark inside even during the day, which helps keep the place cool. We get a real mix of people, from college students to older guys who have been coming here for decades. The noise from the street leaks in every time the door opens, but once it shuts, it is a bit more relaxed. We do not have any fancy decorations, just a few old mirrors on the walls. It is a lot of work to keep the place running, especially on Friday nights when every seat is taken. We just focus on keeping the drinks cold and the tables clear. It is a straightforward business, and we just try to get through each shift without too much trouble.
