Prem Steel Centre

If you head over to Chinchwad near Bhoyer Palace at Dange Chowk, you'll find us at Prem Steel Centre. We handle a lot of metal here, mostly steel items that people need for their homes or projects. It’s heavy work and the shop is usually filled with the sound of metal clanging together. We spend a lot of time moving things around and making sure we have what people are looking for. The air is often a bit dusty because of all the stuff being moved in and out. It’s not a glamorous job at all. We wear old clothes because they’re just going to get dirty or torn anyway. Most of our customers are from around the neighborhood or people passing through Dange Chowk who saw our sign. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure things run okay. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time finding a spot to park near Bhoyer Palace because it gets so crowded around here. We just deal with it as it comes. On rainy days, it’s a bit of a struggle to keep everything dry and clean, but that’s part of the business. We’ve been in this spot for a while and we’ve seen the area change quite a bit. It’s just a regular local business where we show up, do the work, and go home. There is nothing more to it than that. We just focus on the steel.
