Pragiks Music Classes is tucked away at E/5/402 in Wanowarie, over in Goregaon West. It’s basically just a couple of rooms where we keep the instruments. You’ll hear a lot of different sounds if you come by in the afternoon—sometimes it’s a guitar, other times someone is trying to learn the keyboard. It’s not always perfectly in tune, especially with the beginners, but that’s how everyone starts out. We’ve been here for a bit now, and the neighbors are pretty patient with the noise. We keep the windows shut when things get loud. People from around the Goregaon area find us mostly by word of mouth. We don't have a big sign outside or anything. Usually, it's just one-on-one sessions because it’s easier to focus that way. There’s a lot of sheet music piled up on the shelves and some old stools for people to sit on. The place feels lived-in because we spend so much time here. We aren't doing anything fancy, just teaching notes and chords to whoever wants to learn. We've had to replace a few piano keys over the years and the guitar strings break more often than you'd think. Some days are long, especially on Saturdays when everyone has free time. We drink a lot of tea between sessions. It's just a regular local spot for anyone interested in picking up an instrument.
