Poonam Hotel & Restaurant

Poonam Hotel & Restaurant is at Deccan Gymkhana 1st Floor 629/3. Finding the stairs is the first thing you have to do. We are up on the first floor. This means you get away from the street noise just a little bit. Deccan Gymkhana is a very busy area with lots of shops and people walking around near 629/3. We have been in this exact spot for some time now. The furniture we have is heavy and the lights in the room are not too bright. Usually, we get very busy around the lunch hour. People who work in the offices nearby come up the stairs. They know the way by heart. Sometimes the delivery guys get a bit confused about which door is ours, but they learn after a few times. It is a big space once you actually get inside. We spend a lot of our time just keeping the place tidy. The kitchen is always making some kind of noise. You can hear the pots and pans clanking from the dining area. It is just a normal restaurant. We do not have any big signs or flashy lights outside on the street. Just the name on the door. It gets a bit crowded on the weekends, but we manage to handle it. My uncle used to run things here, but now it is more of a group effort. We just keep going.
