Penthouze

Working up here in Koregaon Park means you see the whole city change as the sun goes down. We spend most of the afternoon just moving tables around and getting the speakers right. It’s a lot of stairs and elevators, but you get used to it after a week. Most people come here because they want to see the view and get away from the traffic noise on the ground. We usually have the music going pretty loud on weekends, which keeps the neighbors talking sometimes. I spend a lot of time just making sure the glasses are clean and the lights aren't too bright or too dim. It gets busy fast, especially when the weather is nice and the breeze comes through. We aren't trying to be some corporate chain or anything like that. It’s just a spot to hang out. Sometimes the rain catches us off guard and we have to move everyone inside real quick. That’s always a bit of a mess, but we manage. Most of the staff has been here for a couple of years now, so we know how to handle the rush without getting too stressed. It’s a good place to be if you like being around people and watching the city lights. We just show up, do the job, and try to keep things running smooth until the last person leaves and we can finally head home ourselves.
