We have been running Padmavati Gold Pvt. Ltd. here on Satara Road for quite a long time now. If you know the Dhankawadi area, you probably know where Parvati Apartment is, right across from Hotel Khushabu. It is a busy spot and we see a lot of people passing by every single day. My family started this because we knew the neighborhood well and wanted to have a place where people could just come in and look at things without a lot of pressure. Usually, the mornings are quiet while we set everything up in the cases. By afternoon, it gets a bit more crowded. We spend most of our time talking to neighbors and people who live in the apartments nearby. It is not a huge fancy showroom like you see in the city center, but it works for us. We keep the counters clean and try to make sure everyone who walks through the door feels okay. Sometimes the traffic outside is very loud, especially during the festival seasons when everyone is out shopping. We have seen kids grow up and come back as adults to buy something for their own homes. It is just a regular shop where we do our work and go home at night. We don't do much advertising because most people just find us by walking past or hearing about us from a friend who lives in the same building.
