Parksons Packaging at Gat No.357/77. This is a big site, not like a small city office. It’s more out in the open, and you can see the factory building from a distance. Inside, it’s a lot of space. We have huge machines that take up most of the floor. It’s noisy and there’s always the sound of paper being cut or folded. We wear our safety gear and move around the different sections. It’s a lot of hard work, especially during the big runs. The office part is just a small section partitioned off from the main floor. It’s where the managers and the admin people sit. It’s dusty because of all the cardboard, but we don’t really notice it anymore. We have a canteen where everyone goes for lunch, and that’s usually the loudest place on the site. We don't really have any fancy decorations or art on the walls. It’s all very functional. There are stacks of boxes everywhere you look, waiting to be shipped out. We work in shifts, so the place never really sleeps. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but it’s a solid place to work. We just focus on getting the boxes made right and out the door on time. It’s a very straightforward way of making a living, and it keeps us all busy. We just keep the production line moving.
