At Omkareshwar Dudh Dairy, our day starts much earlier than most people in Viman Nagar. We are located at 40-1 in Ganesh Nagar. By the time the sun is coming up, we are already busy with the milk. The shop is a simple one, mostly focused on keeping the dairy products fresh and cold. Ganesh Nagar is a residential spot, so we see the same faces every morning when people come out to get their milk for tea or breakfast. We have the metal cans and the refrigerators hum all day long. It isn't a fancy boutique; it is a dairy. The floor is often wet from cleaning, and the smell of fresh milk is always there. We do not do any big advertising. Word of mouth in Viman Nagar is usually enough for us. Sometimes we run out of certain things by the afternoon, especially on weekends when everyone is home. We have a small counter where we take the cash and keep the change in a drawer. It is a bit of a routine, but we like the pace of it. The neighbors stop by to chat for a minute before heading off to their jobs. We keep the place running seven days a week because people need their milk every day. It is hard work with no holidays, but it is what we do. We just keep the fridge stocked and the customers happy with what they buy.
