Omkar Motors

Started here on J C Road a long time back. It's number 150, near the corner in the Hadapsar area. Mostly we just fix cars that people bring in when they break down or need a quick oil change. Bangalore traffic is rough on engines, so there is always someone coming in with a noise they can't figure out. I spend most of my day with grease up to my elbows. It is not fancy here. We have some old tools and some newer ones too, depending on what the car needs. Sometimes the parts take a day to arrive from the supplier, and we have to tell the customer to wait, which they don't always like. The shop gets hot in the afternoon. We drink a lot of tea while we work to keep going. It’s a small team, just a few of us who know our way around a motor. We don't have a big waiting room or anything like that, just some chairs tucked in the corner. If you need your brakes looked at or the clutch is acting up, we usually take a look right away. Most of the folks around here know where we are. We just try to get the job done so people can get back on the road. It's honest work and keeps us busy from morning until we lock up at night. There is nothing more to it than that. We see all kinds of vehicles, old and new. Every day is a bit different but the work is basically the same.
