Appu Automobiles

We are located at Plot No. 81 on the Talawade-Kanbay Road. If you know where Triveni Nagar is, we are right in that area. Appu Automobiles isn't a showroom with glass walls and air conditioning. It’s a place where we get our hands dirty. The ground is usually covered in a bit of oil, and there’s always the sound of a wrench hitting the floor. We deal with all sorts of vehicles that come through Survey No. 165. The traffic on the road outside is constant, especially with all the trucks moving through Pune. Inside, we have stacks of tires and rows of spare parts that only we really know the order of. It looks like a mess to an outsider, but we know where every nut and bolt is kept. We don't have a receptionist. You just walk in and talk to whoever isn't under a car at that moment. We spend most of our time diagnosing engine noises or fixing brakes. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoon, so we usually have some tea and take a quick break then. It’s just a normal workshop where people bring their cars because they want them fixed properly. We don't do much talking, just the work that needs doing. It’s a gritty job but it’s what we do here in Triveni Nagar. We focus on the grease and the engines every single day.
