New Varad Medical

We are tucked into Shop No-6 at Regent Chamber. Karve Road is always moving, especially being right across from Garware College. Pune has changed a lot, but this lane stays pretty much the same. We open up the shutters every morning and watch the students rushing to their classes. Being in Lane No 5 makes it a bit quieter than the main road, but you still hear the bikes zooming by. The shop is filled with shelves from floor to ceiling. It can get a bit cramped when a few people come in at once. We spend a lot of time organizing boxes and checking dates on everything. My hands are usually busy with something. The college kids sometimes drop in for small things, and the older folks from the Deccan area come by for their regular needs. It feels like a small community even though it's a busy part of the city. There is a specific smell to a medical shop, a bit like alcohol and paper. We don’t have a lot of help, so we do most of the cleaning and stocking ourselves. New Varad Medical has been in this spot for a bit now. We know the other shop owners in Regent Chamber. We usually have a tea in the afternoon when things slow down. It’s just a steady way to spend the day. Nothing too fancy about it.
