Shanikrupa Medical General Store

Our store is located at 832 Camp, right near the Chandigarh GPO. We sell a bit of everything, from medicines to daily household stuff. It’s a small place and the shelves are always packed to the ceiling. We spend a lot of time looking for specific items for customers who come in. Being near the post office means there is always a lot of foot traffic. People pop in for a bottle of water or some tablets while they are out doing errands. We have been here for a good number of years now. It’s not a fancy pharmacy, just a local shop where you can get what you need. We know most of the people who live in the camp area. Sometimes we have to tell people we don't have something and they have to wait for the next delivery. The shop gets a bit dusty with the road outside, so we are always wiping things down. It’s a long day from when we open until we pull the shutters down at night. We don't have many breaks, just enough time to eat a quick lunch in the back. It’s a steady job and we like being a part of the daily routine here in Chandigarh. The fans hum all day and the bell on the door rings every few minutes. We just keep working through the list of things to do.
