Neelam Ice Cream & Cake Shop

Our shop is in Bibwewadi, on Lullanagar Bibvewadi Road 4. Neelam Ice Cream & Cake Shop is what we call it. We have a few big freezers that stay on all night. You can hear them buzzing if the shop is quiet in the evening. We sell a lot of ice cream cones to the school kids who pass by in the afternoon. They usually have sticky hands and leave fingerprints on the glass cases. We wipe it off every few hours so it stays clean. We also bake cakes in the small oven at the back. The smell of vanilla and sugar usually fills the whole room by midday. It is a nice smell to work in. We don't have a professional decorator for the cakes. We just do simple designs with cream and cherries. People seem to like it for birthdays and small celebrations. The shop isn't very large, so we only have two small tables. Most people just take their stuff and go home. My sister helps with the baking and I handle the customers at the front. We have a small radio that plays music in the corner. It keeps us company during the slow hours. We aren't trying to be a big chain or anything. We just like having our own little shop in the neighborhood where people know us.
