Natural Ice Creams

Our shop, Natural Ice Creams, is sitting right on 13th A Cross in Sant Nagar. It is in the 2nd Block, number 6. We have been in this spot for a long time now. Making ice cream isn't as easy as it looks. We spend most of the morning chopping up fruit and mixing the milk. There is always a lot of washing up to do afterwards. The floor in the back is often wet from all the cleaning. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know how to run the machines. Sant Nagar is a busy place, so we get a lot of people walking past our door. Some of them have been coming here since they were kids. We don't bother with fancy advertisements or big posters. People just know where we are. The freezers make a constant humming noise that you eventually stop hearing. Sometimes the fruit we get isn't quite ripe, so we have to wait a day or two to make certain batches. It can be frustrating, but that is just how it goes with fresh stuff. My hands are usually cold from handling the containers all day. We keep the shop walls plain because we don't see the point in decorating much. People just want their ice cream and a place to stand for a minute. It’s a small, local business and we like keeping it that way. We just keep working.
