National Engineering

National Engineering is located over in Pawar Vasti, right in the Chikhali area of Pimpri. It is a bit of a mouthful of an address, being near Wanowari Bazar and right across from the Jetco K Block. If you see the Hero Honda place, you are pretty much there already. We have been operating out of this spot for quite a while. It is a busy neighborhood with a lot of traffic and people moving about constantly. Inside the shop, it is mostly us working on various engineering tasks. We take on a lot of different projects, basically whatever comes through the door. Some days it is small repairs, other days it is larger pieces that take a week or more to finish. We are not a corporate setup at all. It is more of a hands-on, practical kind of place where things get dirty and the floors are not always swept perfectly. We focus on the work itself rather than how the office looks. My brother and I started this after working for other people for a lot of years. We figured we could do it on our own. It has been tough sometimes, especially when the power goes out or supplies are late coming in, but we manage to get by. People know us around here as the guys who just get on with the work. We do not do much advertising. Most people just see the sign or hear about us from someone else in the market. It is a noisy life but it keeps us busy and pays the bills.
