We are over here in Erandwane, right near that Gota Gandhinagar Highway 16. It gets pretty loud with all the traffic outside, but inside we just focus on the acting stuff. Someone is usually running lines or trying to figure out how to stand properly on a stage. We started this because there wasn't much around here for people who actually wanted to learn the craft without all the fancy drama of the big city schools. My desk is usually covered in scripts and half-empty tea cups. The light in the back room is a bit finicky, so we mostly use the front area for the main exercises. It isn't a huge place, just enough for a small group to get together and practice. Most of us have been around this neighborhood for years, so we know the local shops pretty well. Sometimes we go out after a session just to get some snacks. It’s a simple setup. We don't have fancy leather chairs or anything like that. Just some mats, a couple of chairs, and a lot of patience for anyone who walks through the door wanting to try out a monologue. It gets dusty because of the highway construction, but we try to keep it tidy enough. Everyone just shows up, does the work, and heads home. It’s just how things go at Naandi Acting Classes. We’ve been at this for a while now and the walls are covered with old posters from plays we liked.
