Raviwar Peth is always crowded, and our shop at 625 is right in the thick of it. Metal Cut Engineering Tools has been a part of this main market for years. It’s a noisy place with people always coming and going. We keep a lot of stuff on the shelves, mostly cutting tools, drills, and bits that machinists need. It can be hard to find things sometimes if you don't know where to look, but we know every corner of the racks. It’s a dusty job, handling all those metal parts and heavy boxes. We get a lot of regulars from the nearby workshops who just need a specific tool to finish their day's work. Sometimes we run out of a particular size and have to wait for the next delivery, which can be frustrating, but we try to manage. It’s just me and a couple of guys helping out. We don't do much fancy advertising. Most people find us because they’re already in the market looking for hardware. The shop isn't big, but we make use of every inch of space, right up to the ceiling. You’ll see old catalogs lying around and plenty of shavings on the floor from when we test things out. It’s just an honest place for people who work with their hands and need the right gear. We keep the doors open early and stay until the market starts to quiet down. It’s a lot of work but we enjoy it.
