Meridian Ice Cream

You can find us at Swargate Bhendi Bazar 5. Meridian Ice Cream is a small shop in a very busy part of town. The traffic around Swargate is usually a mess, so we get people coming in just to take a break from the heat and the noise. We have a couple of freezers and a simple counter. There isn't much room for anything else. We make our ice cream in the back room. It’s a tight space and it gets quite warm back there with the machines running. We don't have any secret recipes or anything like that. We just use what we have and keep it simple. My family has been running this place for a long time. I took over a few years back. Bhendi Bazar is a crowded area, so we see all kinds of people every day. Some just want a quick cup of vanilla and others want to try whatever we made that morning. We don't do any big promotions. We just open the doors and wait for people to come in. The tiles on the floor are a bit chipped, but we keep them clean. It’s a basic shop for local people. We don't try to make it look like those expensive parlors in the malls. We just focus on keeping the ice cream cold and the customers happy enough to come back. We are here every day until late.
