Mehta Driving School

Running Mehta Driving School out of 13 Ghorpade Peth in Pune keeps us pretty busy. We are right there near Swargate, which is a hectic area to learn to drive in, but if you can handle these roads, you can drive anywhere. We’ve been teaching locals for years now. Our office in Ghorpade Peth is small, mainly just a place to keep the keys and do the registration paperwork. We spend most of our time out in the cars anyway. It’s not a fancy setup. We have a couple of older cars and some newer ones for the students. The traffic around Pune 411042 is always a challenge, so we start early in the morning before things get too wild. It's honest work. We don't do big advertisements; usually, it’s just someone’s cousin or neighbor telling them to come to us. We try to be patient because people are nervous when they first sit behind the wheel. That’s just part of the job. Being based in Ghorpade Peth means we know every shortcut and every tricky intersection in the area. We just want to make sure people know how to use their indicators and stay safe on the road. It’s a local business through and through. We've seen the city change a lot over the years from our driver's seats. There are always new rules to learn, but the basics of driving stay the same.
