Mayuri Hotel

Mayuri Hotel is located over at Chinchwad Survey No 19/1, right by the Thergaow Dange Chowk. If you know that area, you know how loud it gets with all the traffic and people moving around the intersection. Our place is right in the middle of all that noise. We start the day by setting out the chairs and getting the water boiling for the first round of tea. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking sound when it’s on the highest setting. We don’t really mind it much because we’re used to the rhythm of the place. It’s a busy spot because of the location near Dange Chowk, so we see all kinds of people, from office workers to laborers. The kitchen is small and cramped, but we managed to fit everything we need in there. We don’t do anything fancy with the presentation; the food just goes on the plate and out to the table. There’s no big philosophy behind what we do. We just turn up, cook, clean the tables, and do it all over again the next day. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the front for a bit, which is annoying, but that’s just part of being on Survey No 19/1. It’s a hardworking place and we don’t really have time for anything else but keeping the customers fed and moving on with their day.
