Maximum Fit

We are up on the third floor of J S Mall in Pimple Gurav, right above the More shopping place. It’s a busy spot in Pune and the walk up or the lift ride is just part of the daily routine. The gym has been here for a while now. We’ve got the usual weights and machines spread out over the floor. Sometimes it gets crowded in the evenings when everyone gets off work, but that is just how it goes in a place like this. People from around Kalpatru Phase 1 come in to sweat and then they head back home to their families. It is not fancy with a lot of neon lights or anything. Just a place to get moving. Most of us here have known the regulars for years. We see the same faces every morning at six. The floor can get a bit noisy with the music playing and the weights clanging on the rubber mats. If you are looking for the mall, we are easy to spot once you get inside. We just keep things running every day from early morning until late at night. The fans keep the air moving and we try to keep the equipment in decent shape for everyone. It’s mostly about showing up and doing the work. There’s a lot of traffic on the road outside usually, but inside it’s just about getting through the workout. We’ve seen people change quite a bit since they first walked in through the door.
