Mark Engineers

Mark Engineers is located at V 8-19 in Indira Shankar Nagri, right off Paud Road in Kothrud. It’s a busy area, especially with all the development that’s happened around here lately. Our workshop is a bit old-fashioned compared to some of the newer buildings on the street. We’ve got benches covered in tools and parts that have been there for years. The walls are painted a dull grey, which hides the grease marks fairly well. Most of our day is spent looking at drawings or fixing things that have stopped working. It’s quiet work in some ways, but the sound of the lathe is always in the background. Paud Road gets really congested during the morning rush, so we usually try to get in early before the noise starts. The office part is just a small corner with a wooden desk and a couple of chairs that have seen better days. We don't spend much on decorations because we’re usually too busy with the actual engineering work. Sometimes people get lost trying to find our specific unit in Indira Shankar Nagri because the numbering can be a bit confusing if you aren't from around here. We just tell them to look for the big blue door. It’s just a small group of us working here, trying to get things right and making sure the machines keep running as they should. We have some old filing cabinets that squeak every time they open, but they still hold all the old records just fine.
