Mahaveer Ice Cream

If you head over to Somwar Peth in Karelibaug, you’ll find us at Mahaveer Ice Cream. We’re tucked into the Ganesh Gayatri Complex on Station Road, Survey No 291. Being near the station means we see a lot of people coming and going all day long. The shop is small and we keep the freezers humming along. It’s a simple place with a few benches for people to sit on while they eat. We don’t have fancy flavors with strange names. We just stick to the ones people have liked for years. The floor can get a bit sticky when it’s busy, but we try to keep up with it. It’s mostly just family running the place. We start early to make sure everything is cold enough before the afternoon heat hits. The complex can get quite crowded, especially on weekends when everyone is out. We don’t do any big advertising. People just know where we are. We see kids coming in after school and workers stopping by on their way home from the station. It’s nice to see the same faces every week. We don't have a big corporate plan or anything. We just keep the freezers full and the doors open. It’s a good spot to be, right in the middle of the neighborhood. The bells on the door ring all day long. We hope people feel a bit better after having a cold treat on a hot afternoon.
