Maharastra Energy Development Agency (Meda)

The Maharastra Energy Development Agency, or Meda as most people call us, is based in the Mhada Commercial Complex. We are on the second floor of Phase No-1, right at S. N. 191. If you are looking for us, we are located opposite Tridal Nagar in the Yerwada area. The complex is quite large, so it can be a little confusing if it’s your first time here. Our floor is usually pretty busy with people coming in to talk about energy projects or to drop off documents. It’s a typical government-style office with rows of desks and plenty of paper files everywhere. We’ve been in Yerwada for quite some time. The area has changed a lot, but the building stays the same. The second floor is accessible by the stairs or the lift, which usually works. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just some maps on the walls and the usual office equipment. The staff here is used to the routine of handling inquiries and managing the different programs we run. It’s not a quiet place, as there’s always some discussion going on or phones ringing. We try to stay organized, but with so much going on, the desks are often piled high. It’s a practical workspace meant for serving the public and getting through the daily log of energy-related tasks. Most of us just bring our lunch and eat at our desks because the local spots get so crowded. It’s just how it is working in a big public office.
