You can find us at Shop No. 3 in the Whallekar Properties building. We are right opposite the Gold Gym in Padmavati, so I often see people heading in for their workouts while I’m moving heavy wooden planks around. The shop is usually covered in a thin layer of sawdust no matter how much we clean. I started this because I’ve always liked working with my hands and seeing a piece of furniture come together from nothing. We don't have a big showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a workshop where you can see the tools and the wood we’re currently using. Sometimes it gets quite loud with the cutting machines, and the neighbors probably don't love the noise, but we try to keep it to the daytime. The space is a bit tight, especially when we have a big order of cupboards or tables ready to go out. I do most of the heavy lifting myself, which keeps me fit without needing the gym across the street. People from the Padmavati area know they can just walk in and talk to me about what they need for their homes. It’s simple work, really. Just measuring, cutting, and fitting things until they’re right. I’ve been in this spot for a few years now and I’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the street. It’s honest work and it keeps me busy from morning till night, just building things that last.
