Ujala Furniture

Ujala Furniture is located over at Survey 18/2, right in the Gurudatta Mandal area. We’ve been set up here for some time now. Mostly you will hear wood shavings falling and the sound of tools around here from morning till evening. We don’t spend much time on the computer or making things look pretty for the internet. Most of our day is spent at the bench. The shop gets a bit dusty, but that’s just how it goes when you’re making things by hand. We have a few guys who have been with us since the start. They know the wood better than anyone else in the shop. People come in looking for something specific for their house, and we talk it through. There is no sales talk or anything like that. We just have plain talk about what can be done. It’s a busy neighborhood, so there’s always something happening outside our doors. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the traffic. We just keep our heads down and finish the orders. We don't have a giant warehouse, just this space where everything happens. Every piece that leaves the shop is something we’ve spent hours on. It’s a lot of physical work, and by the end of the day, we’re pretty tired. But it’s good to see someone take a finished item home. If you’re near Gurudatta Mandal, stop by and say hello.
