Alif Furniture

Down in Kasba Peth, things are always moving fast. Alif Furniture is tucked away at No. 892 in the Kagdipura area. This part of the city is old and the streets are narrow, which gives it a lot of personality. You can hear the sounds of hammers and the general hum of the market from our doorstep. No. 892 is an older structure, and it has seen a lot over the years. We have our space set up here among the other shops and houses. Kagdipura is known for its history, and being part of that fabric is just how it is for us. The building itself is a bit weathered, but it is solid. Inside, there is usually a layer of dust on things because that is just the nature of the work we do in Kasba Peth. We do not have any fancy showrooms or bright lights. It is more about the workbenches and the tools we use every day. People walk by the front door all day long, and sometimes they peek in to see what is happening at No. 892. It is a tight-knit community here, and everyone knows everyone else’s business. We have our routines, starting early when the air is still a bit cool. By the afternoon, Kagdipura is hot and noisy, but we just keep at it in our little corner. It is a plain, hardworking spot.
