We’ve been teaching people how to drive here in Baner for a while now. Most people come to us because they’re nervous about Pune traffic, which is understandable. It’s a mess most days. We sit in the car with you, go over the pedals, and try to make sure you don't stall in the middle of a busy intersection. Our place is right here in the 411045 area. We know the local roads pretty well, from the smaller lanes to the main highway stretches. It’s not just about passing the test and getting the card from the RTO, though that is the main goal for most. It is about actually feeling okay when you are behind the wheel by yourself. Sometimes the gears are tricky for beginners, or they get confused with the clutch, but we just take it slow. We don't have fancy simulators or anything like that. You just get in the car and learn by doing it. We’ve seen all kinds of learners, from teenagers who are excited to older folks who finally decided it’s time to stop taking the bus. Dealing with the paperwork for the license is also part of the routine. We stay busy during the weekends especially. It's just a regular driving school trying to help neighbors get mobile. If you see our car crawling along a side street, that's probably a new student just trying to figure out their left from their right.
